The rough carpentry framing stage is pretty fast. Once this phase is completed it will appear that things slow down but that’s really not the case.
The next steps for the exterior will be sheath the roof, install roof felt and shingles; install house wrap, followed by exterior doors and windows. At that time the home will be ‘weather tight’.
The mechanical (HVAC), plumbing and electrical rough-ins will be starting. Along with miscellaneous carpentry…blocking out for fixtures and other future elements, installing stairs, making carpentry corrections and adjustments (called punch out).
The front of the house is taking shape.
